From August 28 through 30, Morehead will welcome authors, readers, teachers and artists for the first Appalachian Literary Arts Festival.
Hosted across CoffeeTree Books and the Rowan County Arts Center, the festival will celebrate the depth of Appalachian writing through readings, conversations, workshops and opportunities for the community to meet the people carrying the region's stories forward.
New Frontier is proud to support the festival and create a special spruce-green shirt for the weekend. Like the event itself, the design is rooted in the belief that Appalachian culture should be represented by people who know it, live it and continue to shape it.
The festival is also a chance to spend time in downtown Morehead, discover regional writers and take part in a new tradition centered on the written word.
